FROM THE CHAIR

It would be fabulous to combine your holiday in September with enjoying the Biennial Guild Silk Festival in the Isle of Man!  Our Branch on the Isle of Man (click to link to website) is working tirelessly to ensure this will be a most spectacular event with lots of superb workshops run by well known silk artists, suppliers stands and lots of delightful silk painting to inspire you and maybe, tempted to buy.   All this and a beautiful island to explore – a holiday with a difference plus extra-ordinary benefits!  Details via the website.
On behalf of the Guild of Silk Painters Committee I hope to see you at our AGM next month!

The Guild of Silk Painters
is an international, non-profit making organisation,
based in Great Britain whose aim is to promote and
inspire the art of silk painting.

Membership of the Guild will provide you, amongst other benefits, with a network of fellow painters of all levels, abilities and locations to share and exchange ideas and information through the Journal and the website.

Artists often work alone and miss the stimulation that
can be gained from creative interchange. The Guild will encourage you, through your local branch, to meet
regularly with other painters for demonstrations, workshops and lectures.

There are also opportunities to showcase members' work both here in the galleries and in the Journal.
