Journals Offered...
One of our long-standing members is down-sizing… She has contacted me to enquire if anyone in our Guild would like some of the older Journals that she has collected.

Marion has offered issues 8 to 66 (Winter 1997 to Summer 2011) of the quarterly Journal of the Guild of Silk Screen Painters.
These are to be collected from Guildford area (too expensive to post) and a donation to the Guild would be welcome.

Marion is very happy for them to go to a good home! Please contact me (Elitta) by email to make arrangements:

September 2015

Branch programmes:
What is YOUR local branch doing? Let us advertise it here...

Our Guild Events:

Elitta (Journal & web editor) is taking part in the MIND Art Trail to be launched on World Mental Health Day, 10 October. There will be many artists exhibiting their works at venues in Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Edenbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Paddock Wood and Wrotham in Kent.

The Guild of Silk Painters
is an international, non-profit- making organisation, based in Great Britain whose aim is to promote and inspire the art of silk painting.

Membership of the Guild will provide you, amongst other benefits, with a network of fellow painters of all levels, abilities and locations to share and exchange ideas and information through the Journal and the website.

Artists often work alone and miss the stimulation that can be gained from creative interchange. The Guild will encourage you, through your local branch, to meet regularly with other painters for demonstrations, workshops and lectures.

There are also opportunities to showcase members' work both here in the galleries and in the Journal.
