Lee is back from Washington DC, and is now able to offer classes in her Studio in Cambridge on batik, Shibori (the traditional Japanese way), a variety of painting on silk & organza (including the dry brush technique and Rozome). One-to-one tuition or Master classes are also offered. Cost would depend on materials for the course (ranging from £45.00 to £60.00). Some extra materials are available for sale. Jenny O'Leary offers residential courses in France on Silk painting, batik on fabric and paper, machine collage and reverse applique, and machine embroidery. Students can experiment with all or some of these techniques during the week's course.Tuition is informal and suitable for beginners. Courses run in France during September and October, in a farmhouse converted into three gites. Based in the Deux Sevres, which is part of the Poitou Charentes, our nearest town is Thouars, and we are 40 minutes from Saumur in the Loire valley.
