Our exhibition during January 2005 was very successful. The Gallery space was excellent and the Library Staff were very helpful, providing us with everything we needed to display our work to it's best. This is a very busy library with over 21,000 visitors a month.
Members of South Birmingham Branch put on demonstrations of silk painting on various days during the month and this stimulated a lot of interest. We hope we have encouraged some new Members to join the Guild and the local Branch.
Most of the work was for sale and we were very pleased by the large number of items that were bought by visitors.
Librarians from other parts of the County met at Droitwich during the month and took the opportunity to view the exhibition. A number said they would like to hold similar exhibitions of our work so we are looking forward to plenty more opportunities to promote the craft.
