![]() We are constantly looking for suitable venues in which to hold Exhibitions to promote the Guild of Silk Painters, and we were delighted to be given the opportunity to exhibit at the Forge Mill Needle Museum in Redditch, Worcestershire, which is set in the grounds of a twelfth century Cistercian Abbey. The museum illustrates the rich heritage of the needle industry for which Redditch is famous. It also hosts the annual Charles Henry Foyle Trust Stitched Textile Award which is given for original and inspirational and outstanding textile work, so we felt we were in good company! The exhibition ran from November the 12th until the 26th and was entitled 'Hand Painted Silks for All Seasons' and our aim was to show the diverse and ethereal beauty of our art. You can see what a wonderful venue it was and we were very pleased with the results and received a lot of praise from the general public. We must also thank the staff at Forge Mill for all the help we received from them with the exhibition. Pat Connolly
