HATFIELD 2002

BACK to Events mainpage

This year our theme at Hatfield was green. There were many other points of interest, including Judith Browning's West Dean Landscape and Jane Venables' Delicate Garlic. We received many compliments and two requests to take stands at other shows - very good for morale. I hope that these will be run by other groups. It is all very good publicity for the Guild.

There were fewer customers this time. The coach- loads of overseas (mostly American) visitors were much fewer. People who usually come by train had problems because Hatfield is on the Elstree line which was closed after the crash. There was, however, still a great deal of interest and over 400 people had a go at silk painting.
