Hatfield Living Crafts Show - 2004
Hatfield, England

BACK to Events mainpage

This was another successful show for the Guild and despite atrocious weather and a muddy showground the visitors came and we demonstrated. There were 372 entrants for the have-a-go scarves, (the tartan one is pictured below), and the finished ones have now been sent to the lucky raffle winners. We had two new members who joined the Guild on the stand and many more took away information both on joining and on accessing the web site.

The silk on the stand was much admired and our thanks go to all the artists who lent us their work to display. There was great interest shown in Deanna Tyson's 'Desmond Tutu', in Louis Dudart-Aberdeen's landscape scarves and Tessa Barnes' velvet stole. Unfortunately we cannot sell at the show as we are there only to demonstrate (not easy to explain to a group of italian ladies with no english), but we give out contact details if anyone shows interest in particular pieces.

Many thanks to all who took part and gave up their time to make it such a success. We look forward to next year, but hope for better weather.
