For your annual subscription you will receive four copies of the Guild's journal which has over 20 pages, most of them in colour, filled with information about silk painting, events, exhibitions, techniques, Guild news, personal profiles from artists from Britain, and all around the world.

Very often they put together an annual exhibition or demonstrate at an arts & crafts show. Being a member of the Guild puts you in touch with these other painters. ![]() The Guild of Silk Painters have a weekend of silk painting somewhere in Britain every year or two. We have an exhibition, suppliers stands, a competition, numerous workshops by well-known painters and an evening meal together. 2005 was our anniversary so we gathered in St. Albans, home of the Guild chairman, Tessa Barnes. ![]() Finally, don't forget that when you pay your subscription to the Guild you are financially supporting this website which is bringing silk painting to the eyes of the world. The work done by the committee and officers of the Guild is unpaid and often no claims for expenses are made, we rely entirely on membership fees to cover all our running costs. You can now join the Guild or renew your membership directly via this website using our new PayPal system (see below). | |||||||||||||||||||

Constitution

The Guild is properly set up with a constitution, an elected committee and an Annual General Meeting is held every year where accounts for the year are made available to members for inspection.
